Phoenix Fight Night 30th of march

In assosiation with phoenix mam gym in winton I gained permission to shoot and record thier recent fight night event which including a brilliant evening of boxing , grappling and mma.

This was the first itme I had tried to record such an event and was very unsure to how proceedings would commence making it difficult to really incorparate a solid directoral plan for the evning, although before hand I did to many test runs thier were factors such as noise and lighting which i unfortunitly overlooked.

The equipment I had put together to use for the event included 2 z5′s and a gohero hd pro , now the gohero turned out to not be as suitable as test runs had shown due to the failure of not being able to test exposure levels due to the aucb’s inability to order in screens for me to use, so next time I will be instead using 3 z5′s whom wide len’s make for some quality recordings.

I used an assistant camera man to capture all mid shot angles of the fights whilst I was standing upon a secured ladder to catch the action from above, now next time I will have a 3rd camera man to capture all entrances and ring announcments as required.

The final quality of the recordings was high however next time I will put far more plannings in place just to guarantee a professional level of quality.

I created a dvd menu using sony achitect and will have to improve upon this for the next event to make sure that everything is of sellable quality.
